To ensure the young hero doesn't try anything foolish, the promoter also kidnaps his girlfriend and puts her in the ring against 2 opponents (Shark Tsuchiya is one of them), who proceed to beat her senseless, leaving her bleeding and helpless on the canvas. In the finale, a tag match involving another of the hero's girlfriends (Megumi Kudo) turns into a battle royale, in which the girl's karate teacher/Yakuza boss suddenly jumps into the ring, to help Karate Kid beat the hell out of all the gaijin.

New Japan: Jushin Thunder Liger - “Fist Of Thunder” Movie (1994) - 92 min's
Liger is the dominant Junior in New Japan, but may finally have met his match, as the evil gaijin Bounty Viper is brought in for a Super Triangle Match, also involving Liondo Wolf (Shinjiro Ohtani). Liger and Viper have special powers, but Viper abuses his. He faces Wolf in the first part of the Super Triangle and deliberately maims him. So, it’s Liger vs. Viper for the Championship. The battle leaves the ring and they continue to fight in a deserted street, morphing into monsters. The 2 monsters battle to the death, amid special effects sequences. Yuji Nagata, Tatsuhito Takaiwa, Satoshi Kojima, Manabu Nakanishi and ring-announcer Tanaka also appear in the film. Liger appears as himself, only when in full costume. To conceal his real identity, the role is played by an actor.
